Ashland beats the defending AIT champions to win the 65th edition of the AIT.

Ashland is the real deal. They move the ball better than any team I’ve seen around here in my lifetime. And this team can flat out shoot. They struggled in the first half, but shot an amazing 15-21 in the 2nd half.

One of the most amazing things about this Ashland team is that they're undersized in most games. Yet will still outrebound a team like Butler. But yes, their ball movement is a huge part of their success. Warren Central's length caused them problems and Butlers speed did. But they still find a way to win.

Congrats Tomcats!

I watched the game on live stream. Ashland came out of the dressing room at half trailing by 5 and exploded in the 3rd quarter nailing shots from all over the floor. I’ve seen them play several games this year and that’s what they do. Teams will be in the game with them then suddenly BOOM!!! Ashland is up 10 points in a flash. They’ve simply got so many offensive weapons and move the ball so well teams can’t keep them from getting open looks.

Two former Happy Osborne Georgetown Assistants going at it. Jason for Ashland and KC for Butler. Both guys very good coaches.

Should be even tougher to defend on a college court.
