Watched every second of the game. What I said is true. Central’s defense dominated the game after FC’s first possession. They also lined up and ran it right down FC’s throat on the other side of the ball.

Yes he did, Nick Broyles their starting QB accounted for 3,396 total yds for Franklin this season around 2300 yds passing and close to a 1000 yds rushing when you take a QB like that out of a game it’s going to have a major impact on the ball game!

Yes Broyles is a great player, the numbers always tell the story and to clear up muddy water I’m a Boyle County fan, I just felt like everyone should know how handicapped Franklin’s offense was going into this game.

In a varsity game that only a few played in?

First of all congrats to Central on the win and to Franklin for having a great season it’s hard to beat a good team without your starting QB.

 

The game between Central and Boyle you speak of was a varsity game that only a couple of these Boyle seniors even played in and it wasn’t a running clock the final score was 37-6 that Boyle team finished 7-5 and in all honesty wasn’t very good, don’t mean to offend but I had to set the record straight.

 

Reed Lanter 3 for 7 for 53 yards passing

Landon Bartleson 8 rushes for 52 yards

Reece Smith 8 receptions for 98 yards

Reiley Colewick 4 receptions for 17 yards

Wilson Kelly 5 Tackles

That's 5 freshman players that looked to played quite a bit to me Jack that made the stat sheets.

 

I could be wrong but I believe that Central rolled out 37 straight points on Boyle that night to get the clock running and Boyle scored late. If I'm wrong and I have before, I apologized and thank you for setting the record straight. Either way they got spanked by Central!

Well the "major impact" apparently was only two points in the first meeting, so while him not playing was certainly a factor, let's not act like he dominated the game the first time. Central did a good job that game holding FC's offense in check as well.

I will chime in on Freshmen impact from an embarrassing game.

 

I was a freshman when Harrodsburg beat our varsity 60-0.

 

The next 3 years Harrodsburg didn’t score a point vs the Rebels. My Senior year we beat them 27-0 and after the last TD we scored I looked at a Pioneer Defender and yelled, “Run it Up! “. It stays with you.

Read it yourself Central put a running clock on this year’s Boyle seniors, you made it sound as if this year’s senior class got a running clock put on them by Central as freshman and IMO that wasn’t the case only a few of them played in that game, that’s what I took offense too.

 

You’re right Central didn’t win it in 2016. but they did play Belfry for the title and had one of the best teams in the state.

Let it go my man. Your jealousy and happiness in seeing County lose is so obvious. This years FCHS team will go down as one of the greatest ever in the history of Frankfort/Franklin Co HS football. We'll just celebrate the young men that accomplished that and move on.
