So Mahle is pitching great, has retired 8 in a row, hits a batter at around 90 pitches and Bell takes him out?? Don’t worry about it David, Walter probably would’ve taken him out too!

How can Garrett be considered for late inning work when he walks the first hitter almost every time. Count of 1-2 and he walks him. Then he makes up for it by throwing the ball in the stands. Oh yeah, then a single. Late inning chokers.

Like I said earlier, Bad News Bears find a way! We’d have been better off to leave Garrett on the IL, he has completely stunk since coming off!!

After watching these games with the Cardinals, this Reds team is the worst fielding, base running and the worst clutch hitting and pitching I can remember. It does not matter who you bring in at the end of a close game, they are going to blow it.

Reds bat in a tie game in the ninth with Suarez, Quinoes and Barnhart. All three strike out.

Reds gives up runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Innings were started by a HBP and a walk.

Lorenzen walks the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the ninth with Molina up. Mahle, Garrett and Lorenzen all walk lead off hitters in the last three innings. They have been doing it all year. This is a sign of a losing team.

Molina hits a ground rul double. Reds can not get him out at all. They said be ashamed that nobody can get him out. Same thing happens over and over. They were not going to let Igelsais blow it today so Lorenzen did.

The problem is these guys have soft bellies and look for ways to lose. Not one guy on that roster has a winner take all attitude and that starts with the owner on down. Talk is cheap and actions speak volumes for this team. If Bell was any kind of a manager he would have torn that clubhouse apart last night and they would have shown some fire today. Nope, same old same old.

I remember one our analytics fans saying a year or so ago that spending money on a quality closer was a waste of money. He said that you can do it by committee. Well a solid closer on this team that could go one or two innings to close out games, would have this team in contention this year.

Instead of making excuses in the press conference after the game, he should have said that I don't have anyone in the bullpen that has the guts to come in and get someone out in the ninth inning. Don't give them a pass.
