Pikeville looks to be the clear cut favorite to win 1A in 2019. Pikeville returns several athletes on the offense side of the ball including Harvard Commit Jackson Hensley. They also return 7 starters defensively. As we all know Defense wins Championships. Who has the best chance of beating them?

I will go with yes and Newport Central Catholic.

I won't say mail it, all it takes is a couple key injuries to change everything... but you can probably start getting a shipping label typed up.

No way. Are they the favorite? Absolutely. Is it a done deal? Nope. 1A has about 6 teams that could all give Pikeville their moneys worth on a given night.

Spot on. There are some good teams in 1A this year that are all capable of beating Pikeville.

Pikeville beat a solid Pulaski County team in a scrimmage last week.
