It's National Bourbon Day

@TheDeuce Have you had the Double Double Oak? I haven't but want to.

 

My buddy (who works for Brown Forman) has a bottle but I haven’t tried it yet.

I bought a bottle of Double Oaked when at Woodford last month, while we were up there. I've already finished that one. I think I need to slow down a little.

 

Funny, my experience with D.O. has been the same, I’m already halfway through my second. They should really figure out these holes in the bottles.

I've had Double Oak but not Double Double.

I ended up having a belt of Maker's Mark Private Select last night, along with one of Weller Antique.

 

I know there's a lot of variance in the private select bottles, obviously, because of the fact that individuals get to select which combination of different French staves go into the barrel for finishing, but of the three different Private Selects I've tried, all of them were absolutely top-notch.

I had more than enough bourbon on Thursday. With that said being the big fan that I am I feel obligated to celebrate national bourbon day tonight. May break out a bottle of 1792 I've had laying around or just stick with ole faithful, Benchmark.
