The Seventh Region Tournament Field Is Set

Featured Replies

The field has been determined for the Seventh Region tournament, it is made up of the 8 teams we anticipated would make it: Central, Manual, Male, St. X, Trinity, Waggener, Ballard, and Eastern. We won't know the regional tournament match-ups until the district championships are played and the tournament draw is held, but its going to be another good Seventh Region tournament. Really looking forward to it.

It's Trinity's to lose. Ballard and Tinity have owned this region this past decade. Will Male be able to make an upset run a year early? I gotta suspect Male to be the preseason favorites next year.

If Fleming is 100% and Male is clicking on all cylinders, I think they can make a run at Trinity this year. They do have a loaded junior class.

Not all may agree but I really miss the region being played at Bellarmine.

My guess is that Male is the closest school to Valley (site of the games) and is probably 15-16 miles away. Some of our friends in the more rural regions are probably saying "suck it up" but I do wish there was a site more convenient to the majority of teams. I really think it hurts attendance.

Fleming looked good tonight. Should be back into full swing next week.
