Ryle 31 Meade Co. 0

Featured Replies

Talked to a few players afterwards who said they were jumping and spitting on it.

Knowing Coach Mofield's stance on that kind of behavior, I highly doubt that claim is true.

I was at the game, I do knowas Meade took the field at game time, they gathered and got pumped up, jumped up and down at center field, do not know why as most teams gather at their sidelines. I know nothing about the spitting.

Anyway, Meade Cty came in and gave it their best. It was one those nights, all have our ups and downs. All Meade players and supporters should be proud of their season and how you came on very strong in the 2nd half. Only 8 teams made it as far as you did, so congratulations on your season. And you brought a very good crowd, incl a very good performance by your band at halftime! Made for a great HS football atmosphere.

And I liked your mascot, never knew what a Greenwave looked like, nice costume, seriously!

It is a true fact that the Meade players were "doing there breakdown" on the raider shield that sits on the 50 yd line. When Ryle players came out onto to thier HOME field they noticed the green wave doing so, it put alot of fire in the boys and thus look at the outcome.

True that it fired the Raiders up, but in no way did it impact the outcome.

This is an interesting development. A few years ago Ryle did a similar "warm-up" prior to a game with Trinity at Trinity. After a blow-out Rock victory a number of rock fans pointed out the mid-field antics as a motivation to the Rocks. Many Ryle fans accused the Rocks of being too sensitive and making something out of nothing. Now this, very interesting.

I still think Ryle makes it to PJCS. One suggestion, don't dance on the Bird.

I was a senior on the team your talking about and thats something we did every game was run out to midfield and break down then go to the sidelines. Against you all we happened to be standing on the gigantic T that's painted in the middle of the field and didn't think twice about it. I was going to post this instance after they started talking about what happened with the Meade players, but I was sure you or one of the other Rocks fans would post something about it!

OOO yes i remember but now the program is changed, Ryle respects every opponet as if they were on the same team, unless they jump on our 50. Remember what happened to the UC bearcats when they jumped on the birds 50?

Congrats to the Raiders...sounds like they really took care of business
