The next few weeks will be interesting.
UKMustangFan Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I anticipate Kentucky being the #1 in the Midwest come next Tuesday's update. At the very least, the #2 in the South.
Getslow Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I'm curious to know how much slack Louisville gets in retaining a top four regional seed. Can they lose the three remaining games against Duke and Virginia but win the other four games and hold on to that spot?
TheDeuce Posted February 12, 2019 Author Posted February 12, 2019 I anticipate Kentucky being the #1 in the Midwest come next Tuesday's update. At the very least, the #2 in the South. The only way UK plays in Louisville is as the 1 seed.
UKMustangFan Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 The only way UK plays in Louisville is as the 1 seed. We'll have to agree to disagree. The committee member said Saturday that Kansas can still play in KC without being the #1 seed there, so no reason to think Kentucky couldn't do the same in Louisville.

Hatz Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 The only way UK plays in Louisville is as the 1 seed. I tend to agree. Then again the best news of today is that it's in the Cats hands to be that #1 seed. If they can sweep the regular season they would do just that. It's in their hands and not that of an evaluation by some body somewhere.
The Double Deuce Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 I anticipate Kentucky being the #1 in the Midwest come next Tuesday's update. The Tennessee game becomes even bigger now, in terms of seed potential.
futurecoach Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 The only way UK plays in Louisville is as the 1 seed. Agreed. That is why I said UK had to get to a 1 seed and pass up Virginia too. The lost tonight definitely doesnt help that cause. Even thought the committee said it wouldnt stop them from doing it. I just dont see then doing that to a 1 seed, making them possibly play a 2 seeded UK team in Louisville. I hope that happens, but I dont see it happening either.
