Highlands 2007 Offensive line

Featured Replies

That would be a horrible move, IMO! I'm sure many others agree with me. The kid can block on running plays around the end, which is very important to Highlands' mentallity. Also, this year, he was one of our best and most consistant recievers. There are a few defensive linemen that I am pretty sure will be playing offense in 2007 at HHS. In fact, there were 3 pretty beefy sophs that I saw in a few games who just pushed people around. The future looked pretty good from where I was standing...

Right about the sophs. Here who I think will be competing for O line jobs. 51 Dowling center, 58 Reis T/G, 75 Rosenhagen T/G, 66 Klingenberg G, 57 Dempsey T, 56 Frank T, 78 Hempfling T. The TE spot for HHS is really just a glorified Tackle who gets a ball thrown his way once in a while, so 22 should stay there. Out of the guys I listed I would say only 2 , 78 and 51 are sure things. The remaining spots will go to whoever works the hardest in the weight room and on the field. Take notice Sophs to be, there is an opportunity on the line. Nothing to say that a soph that works really hard can't crack that starting lineup.

Alot will depend on what side of the ball Dale emphasizes and how many kids he will want going both ways.

If Cecil stays at QB, will Guidugli go to reciever/TE???

I think if Dale keeps Cecil at qb they need to run some type of spread option offense. This would allow him to make quick decisions and the wr's to run shorter routes in the passing game. I would rather see him at rb and Guidugli at qb though. IMO this would give us a more rounded offense. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.:D

:thumb: I agree... Guido at QB and Cecil at RB. I am assuming tht DMZ in an earlier post about a Punt returner moving to line was referring to Ball. I think he could be a very good lineman wiht his strength and quickness. Can you afford to have him go both ways? Will more Sr's have to play both ways is the question? Depth was not a problem this year with all the quality seniors on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

How mant TEs do you need on a team that rarely throws to a TE???

Who knows what will happen next year with this offense. All I know is that they need to do something different..:ylsuper:
