Maybe I just haven't read it or heard it. However, when did those 3 coaches you mention come out and say recently that they don't think their should be an expansion. Did they recently say that this year, or was it in years past?

Dabo and Urban both said it this year. Urban said it right after it was announced Ohio State got left out. Saban has mentioned it in the past but I don’t know if he was asked the question this year.

I would venture to say we here Urban say there should be an expansion over the next year. He wasn't going to come right out afterwards and say otherwise, because he has been classy in that regard and wouldn't want to come out like he was crying.

With that said here is an article I just found. That shows that he may be warming up to the idea of expansion too.

Ohio State football: Urban Meyer talks CFP expansion, Rose Bowl

At the end of the day there is no reason for Saban or Dabo to come out and say there should be an expansion. However I would be willing to bet neither would have a problem for it. Because all that means is they basically will be even more of a lock every season. They now could afford to lose and not even win their conference and still know they will be in.

I think all coaches are open to the idea, because expansion is inevitable. Based on how he’s talked in the past, Urban seems to prefer 4 teams or even the old BCS system. He’s a traditionalist when it comes to the landscape of the sport.

Well I just showed you an article that shows Urban may be changing in that. Which kind of defeats your initial post you just had of well I wonder why Brian Kelly would want it. But not these guys...

I just skimmed the article so I didn’t see the exact quote you’re talking about.
