November 18, 20187 yr On second down and ten, running into the line is a wasted play. Trying to pick up a few more yards for the field goal attempt, maybe catch them off guard like Baltimore did to us running it on a passing down and make 3rd down more makeable.
November 18, 20187 yr During Simmons run as special team coordinator here. The Bengals have to be the worst team in the nfl in terms of field goal percentage from over 50. Usually none of our kickers are good from long range.
November 18, 20187 yr Author Big trouble. Bullock misses the 52 yarder. Defense has struggled stopping the running game. Difference they Ravens have Tucker we have Bullock. Bullock is a good kicker but Tucker is one of the best ever.

November 18, 20187 yr How did that work for us? Not much difference in a 52 yard FG or a 49. Just telling you the logic behind it. It is so, so easy to take a potshot in hindsight.
