Bowling Green's (8-2) psychological well being is suspect after a pair of major setbacks in recent weeks. But, does frequent playoff nemesis Christian County (4-6) have what it takes to take advantage?

Bowling Green should handle its business and could get a running clock.

BG should win. Won’t be a running clock unless Christian County turns the ball over for scores. Christian County Defense is too stout to have a running clock put on them.

Not your typical 1st round match up with both of these teams. BG will face a defense that has been playing really well of late. Sort of lost in the suffle this season is the play of LB’er Antonio Abren. He has been outstanding this season highlighted by 98 yards scoup and score against Madisonville. I believe he’s County’s best LB’er since Tony McCombs who played in the NFL. 6’3 210lbs who runs a 4.6 forty with a 40 inch vertical this guy is more college ready than the 3 who are playing for Purdue (Major starts corner as a redshirt freshen). Hoping Christian can keep it close till the 4th quarter than see if they can get some friendly bounces.

The last 6 times BGHS has played Christian County, the Purples have averaged 44.5 points per game. I'd say the CCHS defense will need to be much improved to have a chance to win.

Bowling Green in a running clock.

BG 42

Christian Co 6

First half should be close with BG pulling away in the end. It would be great to see Christian County at Rash next week instead of the Purples but I just don't think CC is up to the task. If BG underestimates County's QB, he just might surprise them, I think he's gonna be a good one, but just not yet.
