In one of the biggest first round mismatches, Holy Cross (0-10) travels to Louisville to face CAL (10-0). A first half running clock is a very likely scenario here.

I hate running clocks. You get your second and third strings in for a few plays and the game is over. I understand why we have running clocks, but still hate to see games cut so short. Maybe going back to no running clocks until the second half would be good. I know I’m in the minority here, but that’s the way I feel.

Hey CAL FAN don't get me wrong, I like seeing the Backups play too, but most smaller schools don't have the numbers that CAL or DeSales have. So when you get up by 36 pts. and you then put in fresh troops so you can get the 2nd & 3rd strings some reps against your opponents same tired 1st string ??? Safety must be a concern. And some games are such mixed matches that KHSAA even recognizes a need to end such games in a hurry..... I guess teams could mix your starting lineups etc, Good luck in the playoffs & safe travels.

The adult in me agrees 100 percent with you and you are correct. The football fan in me wants to see 48 minutes of football.

It’s one more game for the seniors. Who out there wouldn’t want to play one more game?

I think all seniors would want to play one more game...

I also think you can find plenty of non-seniors that want no part of an 11th game they are guaranteed to get destroyed in.

Maybe those kids your speaking of should be playing soccer. Football is a sport where you make sacrifices for your teammates and expecially your seniors.

Hyperbole, and an unwarranted disrespectful comment towards soccer.

If you think every "football kid" wants to play every second of every single game, you're lying to yourself.

Holy Cross has been in both positions before. Two years ago in the 2A state semi-finals, Holy Cross was 47 yards and a 1:37 away from a tying TD against Danville when the Indians failed to convert twice on third and 1 and fourth and 1. The game against NCC prior to that was the last win for Holy Cross. As you know, Danville went on to win that game and played CAL in the finals (which CAL won 24-6). Still a tough memory for HC fans.

Pete will you be coming to the game on Friday? Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Is it video feed? I have family out of town that watch ours, but our picture quality is not great. I may refer them to yours for this game

No, live stats only and live play-by-play. Live tweets. Like ESPN. Your video on one half of a monitor and our live stats on the other half might be a cool combination.

If your fans go to twitter on cal athletics@centurionad. They will find our live feed there. Not like being there, but a good alternative for those that can’t travel
