October 11, 20187 yr Went there years ago and loved it. Every bit as good as Ruby’s. As others have said, the shrimp cocktail is a must! FYI Costco sells their cocktail sauce.
October 13, 20187 yr If you have a toddler, I would suggest you go to Harry and Izzy's, which is owned and operated by the same people. St. Elmo's is an old traditional upscale steakhouse, while Harry and Izzy's is much more casual. Same shrimp cocktail (I know you don't care for this) and same steaks. Harry and Izzy's is right next door I believe. I've never eaten at St Elmo's but have Harry and Izzys. Went back in August. One of our VPs that lives in Indy said the two restaurants share a kitchen, not sure if that is true or not. The steak at Harry's was awesome.
October 13, 20187 yr Harry and Izzys would be better for the toddler, but you couldnt sau you have been to St Elmos, the place to be in downtown Indy. Take the toddler. The wait staff will accomidate you, but be considerate of other diners. It is $$$$. Give your child your phone to play with and he will be fine.

I think this is the way we're leaning right now. He's a very well behaved little guy (for the most part), and usually does great at restaurants, especially if we put food in front of him, but he does have his meltdowns from time to time. Boy loves to eat!
October 15, 20187 yr Unrelated to the restaurant and more about the Childeren’s Museum. We went a few years ago. It was great. The kids loved it. I recommend for any family.
