I'm sure the Titan players have plenty to say during the game, but I watched the warmups from the visiting sidelines and could not believe the smack talk from the visiting team? The team that had been beaten like a drum a a couple weeks earlier. The Lloyd players (#4? FB/RB) walked to the mid-field stripe and called the Mercer team straight out!

Which translated means...."glad you're having such a good season, but don't you dare think you could beat MY team...and don't even think about braggin on your team..."

 

Listen my man, it's a thread about Mercer. You don't like what you're reading then just back out.

 

The lesson to be learned is this. YOU will not tell any Mercer poster how to feel or what to post.

Why? Because we have finally gotten tired of people trashing our team? Most of the Mercer fans come on here and talk positively about Mercer. And most of them have complimented our opponents. Yet virtually every thread about Mercer is constantly hijacked, and turned into a bash Mercer thread. At the beginning of this thread it was people talking about their teams and complimenting their opponent. Somewhere along the way that gets turned into people trashing Mercer. So what do you expect? Look back and see who turned this thread this thread to this direction.

I am almost cheering for Mercer at this point. This crap has gone on too long. I bet if someone combs my post, I probably gave "Merger Co" some crap myself, but seriously guys, lets just let it play out and enjoy the playoffs.

 

IMO, Joe Dirt has been a very good and reasonable fan of his/her program. I don't live and die with reading posts on this site, but I have tried to follow the 2a posts, and I think its time to just LET IT DIE!

 

This is the time we all love! The playoffs are here, the second round is here! Every team left in it gets there chance soon!

 

Can Mercer live up to the expectations? I don't know about anyone else, but I'm looking forward to see if they can! IMO Mercer Co brings another dimension to 2a football.

 

Its Russell v Fleming, Belfry v Prestonsburg, Caldwell v Trigg, Corbin v Wayne, Western v Larue, Mercer v Newport. Glasgow v OC, AND Leslie v Middlesboro.

 

I guess I have just come to the realization that this is an AWESOME year for 2a football. I hope other people will as well.
