Williams' 97 yard TD run was the second longest in Notre Dame history, the longest in Lane Stadium history and matched the longest the Hokies have ever allowed. He had 178 yards on 17 carries and 2 TDs. Book was 25 of 35 for 271 yds, 2 TDs and 1 Int for the Irish. Willis was 31 of 52 for 309 yds with 2 TDs and 1 Int for the Hokies. That's the 3rd ranked opponent the Irish have beaten this year. Fun game to watch!

With a player like Ian Book, I don’t think it will matter how flat the team comes out, he is good enough to overcome it. I think they’ll win every game the rest of the year by double digits.

Still, the closer they get to the end of the season undefeated, playing teams with nothing to lose concerns me as a fan.
October 7, 20187 yr I really don’t see another game on Notre Dames schedule they can lose. They shouldn’t. I believe that Syracuse will be their most challenging game left. I could also see Northwestern as a potential trap game. With saying that, I don’t see the Irish losing the rest of the way. Losing to anyone else remaining would be a big upset.
