Has he beat Gairher? Has he won a tourney game? What is it that you are looking for? Yes, Burns has a good rep, but let’s be honest, is Burns even in this discussion if a certain player does not “transfer” from Shelby to Spencer? So not sure you can play the transfer card...

If you presume that the transfer from Shelby County is the only player Spencer County has then you haven't been following the program. Spencer County has had one transfer EVER. How many has Gaither had?

I think Spencer is good, but let’s not pretend that Conley is not the best player they have and have had for a long time. You take him away and Spencer is not in discussion. The Pg is good, however, undersized, and the 2 shooters are solid high school players but very wirey and have not proven they can do more than spot up shoot.

 

You don’t have to be so defensive while you throw so much shade at Collins. Spencer has had major improvement with the transfer they got and I know they almost got another from Henry that would have made them a ton better. I am one of the guys that thanks Spencer could have a big year, but if your wanting us to anoint Burns COY for an 0-5 post season record, not going to happen.

I will agree that Spencer and Collins will have some battles for sure. I understand that you are a Shelby County fan and you are being optimistic to say the least. Your analysis of Spencer County is way off other than the fact that Conley is their best player.

Who are some dark horses for the region this year? I predict South Oldham will be way better than some people are thinking. Does anybody know the name of the freshman that I saw playing for them over the summer? He was awesome! I thought he looked like their second best player! Very impressive.

I don't think teams look at message boards of fans for bulletin board material. If so you better watch out for Anderson because you were bashing them all over this thread.

 

All jokes aside if Conley and Whitlock can stay healthy Spencer County should do fine.

Is the Whitlock the PG or the wing? I hope every kid stays healthy, even Burns with all this pressure you are putting on him.

Anderson needs all the motivation they can get. Coach Ryan Huat is suppose to be a great coAch at Anderson and they will play hard for him. Gonna be a fun season.

Like I said--I don't think fan message boards put pressure on anybody or provide bulletin board material. Yes Whitlock is the point guard and Conley plays all five spots. The biggest thing is that you will be surprised to find out that there are several more high quality players on that team than just those two. Senior combo guard Seawright had one heck of a summer on the AAU circuit. I believe senior Jackson Cole was 5th in the state in three pointers made. Sophomore Lucas Hornback should open some eyes. I don't have anything against Shelby County but realistically you have to have great guard play to be very good. Their guards do not match up to Collins and Spencer County. Actually Collins is loaded with quality guards. Sure, anybody can get lucky on a given night.

Yes there have been a few injuries over the past couple of years.

As we will be surprised with Spencer players, which maybe we will, can we not be surprised by what Shelby has at guard?? They have the best Frosh in the district, Secori Toole, and the Griffin kid can shoot it with anyone Spencer has, even Cole!! Get Cole out of corner and let’s see what happens.

 

I stopped by Shelby practice today and read entire thread to them and man they went that much harder.

 

I like Spencer and there team but I feel like I am arguing against the Houston Rockets when in reality we are discussing the Orlando Magic.

I'll save your comments for discussion after Spencer and Shelby play. Take off those glasses friend. If a team needs motivation from a fan message board then they have motivation issues.:lol2: After reading your comments it's obvious you don't know much about the other teams in the region besides what Shelby County has and you really don't have an unbiased view of that.
