LA Rams Success

FYI Rams have two key defensive injuries to DBs, don't be surprised if they get beat tonight.

I am looking forward to old school unis tonight!

This is the same model Seattle used to build their squad, so it’s not particularly unique.

It’ll be unique if they actually do cut Goff loose after his rookie deal, which I doubt happens.

It’s so risky to just let the QB walk, but you can’t deny the fall the Seahawks took when they paid Wilson. It’s risky either way.

I started to read your post and thought it sounded like the PMS 2.0 show from today. Sure enough it was.

Not sure if it is sustainable long-term but it sure seems to be working for them now.

Actually started two threads today after listening to PMS.

The downfall of the Seahawks was aided by having to pay Wilson, but that is the price you pay to retain a good quarterback.

But more than anything, I blame the downfall of the team on some players’ inabilities to mentally recover from the decision to pass instead of run in XLIX.

I also blame their downfall on poor drafting over the last several years and an inability to replace their aging veterans. I blame trading out of the first round in several drafts because Pete Carroll and John Schneider caught lightning in a bottle a few times and felt that they could do no wrong.

Paying close attention to everything the Seahawks have done for 20+ years, it’s an oversimplification to say “they paid Wilson and got worse.”

As you are probably the only BGPer who follows the Seahawks very closely, this definitely helps shine light on the siuation.

When they traded Max Unger (their starting center) and a first round pick for Jimmy Graham, I knew that was the beginning of the end.

Rams are going all in right now, to sell season tickets for their new $2 Billion Stadium that opens year after next.

I just hope they stay this aggressive after they sell all of those tix.

If the Bengals can't win the Super Bowl, I hope the Rams do. Would love to see Big Whit get himself a ring.
