September 9, 20188 yr Parts of Kentucky are in a category 1 Marginal Risk Area for strong to severe storms later today. This area is from just east of I-65 and extends eastward. A few strong to severe storms will be possible mainly this afternoon and evening. The stronger storms may pose and isolated strong/gusty wind threat, and a tornado or two may also occur. This is the simulated Ohio Valley Radar from 11 am ET/10 CT to 2 am ET/1 CT. The EHI shows where the atmospheric energy is favorable for the formation of stronger storms. Some could see an additional 1-3 inches of rainfall through Monday morning. A Flash Flood Watch is issued for parts of Kentucky. Take care and I'll try and update as soon as I get home from church. September 9, 20188 yr We had 3.84" of rain here in Louisville yesterday. That more than doubled the previous record for most rainfall for the September 8th...set back in like the 1870s. Apparently UofL's campus flooded badly enough that they sent out a shelter in place notice to all of the students. Rain, rain, go away.
September 11, 20188 yr This all added up to about 2 inches of water in my basement last night around 8:00....
September 11, 20188 yr This all added up to about 2 inches of water in my basement last night around 8:00.... My parents had 5 inches of water in their basement up in NKY. Dad has insurance adjusters coming out tomorrow morning to survey the damage and let him know if they'll accept the claim.
September 11, 20188 yr We should have better infrastructure. Sorry to hear about the basement water guys. Ugh.
