Field conditions after last weeks mud bowls?

Featured Replies

The Pizza Box looks good for this Friday night's playoff games, depending on the outcome of Thursday night's game between Louisville and West Virginia. Let's hope the sports turf field can hold up to all the hype, and that overly excited or overly disappointed Cards fans do not tear up the field.:D

Good LUCK Cards!

Somersets field is in fair condition after last Fridays game with Harlan and from the look of film on the Cumberland Vs. Cawood game, the field is an absolute disaster!

With the rain yesterday and today, will the fields have enough time to dry out by Friday or will it be another Friday Night Mud Bowl. Also, do teams get in good practices with all the rain? Do they go in the gym or practice in the mud?

Putnam stadium in Ashland should look great. They canceled a Friday game for the second time this year.

Of course, there were some people on BGP crying foul, as if moving the game from Friday night to Saturday night were a criminal act.

I guess that in hindsight, it looks like a pretty good move. Unless of course, someone just wants to whine ...

Just got through practicing in the mud and rain for the 2nd straight day, however we have a seperate practice field.

When conditions are bad Corbin uses their indoor turf field. Even though they do have a nice seperate practice field theres no since in tearing it up with all that has went into making it what it is.

Where will Lafayette be playing their home game this week?

As far as I know it is at Lafayette. You usually hear of these things first openyon.

I'll give Lincoln's AD or whoever is in charge of the field credit for covering the field between the hashes during last Friday's rain. The field is wet and a little chopped up, but not much mud and it isn't nearly as bad as many I have seen.

That credit, would be to the Coaching Staff , Several of the Players and also a Booster Club Dad or two. I agree with you that the field was decent, due to the efforts of these dedicated fellows. :thumb:
