It appears the precedent Ohio State set with placing Urban on paid leave will be the new norm in college sports. Curious to see how the facts play out in this one. A kid died, why is this just now being investigated at Maryland? I feel like there should have been an investigation from the get go into the culture of the football locker room at Maryland and how something like this could happen. Again I’m waiting for the facts, but this seems like something DJ Durkin in all likelihood promoted or at least didn’t have an issue with it.

August 12, 20188 yr I just went back and read the ESPN story from Friday, there really is no room for that type of behavior in 2018. Those actions by the coaches and trainers were probably standard fair in most programs 25 to 30 years ago...but we've evolved and are smarter now.
August 12, 20188 yr Author Durkin and staff need to be fired ASAP, period. Maryland is doing the right thing. Placed him on administrative leave, promoted a guy who is in his first year with the program to interim, and they are looking in to everything. If it’s deemed Durkin and his staff deserve to be fired, he will be.
