Coach Eviston was honored with the award on Tuesday at the Bengals annual media luncheon held before the start of Bengals training camp. The award is given out to outstanding high school football coaches in Cincinnati region, and comes with a $5000 donation to the school where the honoree coaches.

Mike Brown was at the luncheon to hand over the award, and stated that, "Eddie Eviston has been a presence in the local football world for most of his life. His coaching record is extraordinarily successful, and there’s going to be a lot more to come. He is certainly worthy of receiving the Paul Brown Excellence in Coaching Award.”
