And with the rains we’ve had, it’s not surprising it was a mess today. I don’t agree its embarrassing, because I really don’t know what you think they can do about it, as the weather, and number of games that need to played (which contribute to the wear and tear) is out of their control. Again, one of the big problems is the fees the local school districts charge the youth teams is what forces so many games to be played at Mills.

I just think there's more to it, especially from a financial both in terms of cost of field use, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the first round is always held at Mills, and teams rotate hosting this round, because it's a huge fundraising opportunity. Using the double fields at Mills allows all the games in each division to be held at one site, and maximize revenue for the host teams. For example, Kenton County Schools charge a big fee for use of their fields.

You are correct after first round teams play on turf. Union folks are just spoiled from playing on turf all season.

#5 seed (BC Rebels) knocked off #1 seed (Spartans) in the JR Youth bracket. Congrats to the Rebels! Seems the Spartans weak schedule (somehow avoided the top 5 teams) proved to hurt them in the end.
