That is interesting. Not that either of these two can stop LeBron, but both of these players have earned his respect by at least making him think and give effort against him. Not sure how Lance fits in with LeBron. Besides in Indiana, Lance has been a G-League type talent. Javele I think can fit in well.

Worked for OKC. Problem this time around is the Lakers can offer one of the best packages out of anyone. Celtics and Sixers would potentially make a better offer, but the Lakers aren’t far behind.

The Kawhi vs. Spurs battle is the most interesting thing happening in sports. I would call his bluff if that is truly the case. How would that work? Say he doesn't show, does he simply not get paid his $20MM salary? He ain't doing that on top of not playing hoops for two seasons.

I think he will end up there as well, but there is not a rush on it. The Lakers are saying they are not giving up Kuzma and other assets so you might as well wait until LA struggles out of the gate and then make the move.

 

I also am with you on Leonard not needing a lavish lifestyle and enjoys being under the radar, which is why it has shocked me he wants to go to LA and be the LeBron scapegoat. His uncle, by all accounts, is the one now orchestrating Leonard's career.

I don’t disagree but no contending team is going to give up good assets while Kawhi is making it clear to teams he would be a one year rental.

I am not sure. At some point the Spurs would cease paying him, I would say. If he argues he is still hurt then it would be in the hands of an arbitrator. Teams are normally supportive with players and their "injuries." But remember, the Spurs are by most accounts the most conservative medical team in sports. They honored his injury claim last year (after he sought multiple opinions before one wouldn't clear him), but eventually you have to play with what was effectively diagnosed as a thigh contusion.

It’s wild to think that a thigh contusion kept him out all season and I still hate it wasn’t a bigger story than what it was.
