#1 Contender Match for the Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs Bobby Lashley vs Multiple To Be Announced Participants

#1 Contenders match for the Universal Championship has been removed from the card as announced on last night's episode of Raw. The reason for the change was said to be a contractural dispute with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar on when he would defend his title next.

 

This is likely a work however it could have some truth in reality as well. Brock Lesnar has until Friday to re-enter the USDA testing pool if he wishes to fight in UFC this year. Officials in UFC want him to fight at their show in December. Lesnar's last match in WWE was thought to be Summer Slam in August but that may not be the case as he currently has not agreed to a match.

"Woken" Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt © vs The "B" Team (Curtis Axel & Bo Dallas) for the Raw Tag Team Championship has been added to the card.

I was so put off by the Main Event of Raw last night. You let Rollins & Ziggler work a great match for 30 minutes, but end it crappy just to get Roman a cheap pop. Ugh.

It seems like they are setting up a triple threat with Brock, Roman, and Lashley. I would prefer that over Brock/Roman #4. Either way I think Braun cashes in and wins the match in the end.

 

Rollins/Ziggler was fantastic until the end.

I’m hoping the Gibson Brothers can find a match on the main card

I'm not as thrilled about the idea now simply because it would be the second time doing it. But I'd still rather see that over Brock/Lashley, Brock/Roman, or Brock/Roman/Lashley.

I dont want to see Braun vs Brock, it does nothing for me.

 

I would only want to see it if it goes 3-4 minutes with a decisive win for Braun. But then what kind of matches would he have as champion? Not very good I’m afraid.

 

Best bet in my opinion would be to have Rollins beat Lesnar clean in a one on one match. He seems to be the most over babyface now along with being the best worker on Raw.

I give the show a B-, mostly because Reigns got pinned clean & in the middle of the show, as opposed to the Main Event. I actually thought the Lashley/Reigns match was one of the best of the night.

 

A.J. Styles/Rusev was my choice for top match of the night. Kevin Owens/Braun Strowman was up there too, and KO's fall off the cage was pretty amazing.

 

Ziggler/Rollins wasn't a bad match, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

 

Both women's matches were terrible.

I am more in the C Range and like always both KO and Braun delivered.

 

With Roman getting pinned I wonder what is next for him.

I'll give it a C. It wasn't absolutely terrible but not great great either. The throw from the cage was great except they exposed the inflatable safety device on live TV.
