What a great game,Holy Cross put a drive together late in the 4th and scored with about 50 sec. left on the clock.

It truly was a great game, but it is sad when you have officials that know the rules. And stand behind bad calls that 1st and 2nd year official make. C'mon Gentlemen teach them when make mistake's. Two TD'S called back for sure.

It was 4th and goal from the 3. Markel Walker ran right got hit at least 3 times by Newport 3rd effort got him into the endzone. 2 other t.d.'s were called back. I think they weren't great calls but thats part of the game. Great season Holy Cross.

Holy Cross scored their TD on a 4th and goal from about the 3 with 47 seconds left. I believe the HC QB scored the TD but I'm not quite sure. I think his number was 17.

 

I only saw one TD that was called back for HC but I missed almost the entire first half.

 

Here's the situation on the one I saw. HC is on offense deep in Newport territory. A Newport player hits a HC player at about the 2 yard line and the ball pops up into the air. A Newport player and a Holy Cross player struggle for the ball right at the goal line. Both players cross the goal line still struggling over the ball. The HC player eventually pulls it away from the Newport player in the endzone. One ref signals a TD and then the refs huddle and rule Newport ball on the 20 yard line.

 

I believe the refs ruled it was dual possession when they crossed the goal line and therefore possession goes to the defense and it's a touchback. I believe they made the right call (eventually).

What my team did this year has nothing to do with this...Your right I was not at the game, but you keep going on and on about these 2 tds called back, when they must not have been if they got called bacause there had to be a reason they were called back...I never seen someone get so upset about 2 tds being called back when it doesn't matter cause your team still won, so chill out...

 

Congrats to the HC freshman team, it sounds like you have some more nice players coming up, which is good since you would be losing a really good senior class this year....

Maybe someday when you GROW UP you will understand that the point you missed, is that there were two horrible calls. And if you saw them, and know the rules you have to agree. But maybe not because you like to :argue: to much.
