I think they should stay internal and give it to Marty Rankin if Kes doesn't take him to Notre Dame with him. He has done a great job since he has been apart of the program. Filled in for Kes during his suspension.

I think Gary Hunter would be a good fit but don’t think he’s willing to go this direction.

Coach Houston would be a great hire! Chance to go back home. Talent is there! I assume he is still at Conner? Always enjoyed watching his teams compete at Beechwood!

I am not from the area and have no connections....but the "wow" made my first thought they "traded" coaches?

If I was going to guess what name would illicit "wow," I think it could be from the following list:

Winstel, Macke, Maile, Bezold, Fookes

 

All would be shocking for different reasons but those would be my "wow" names. I haven't heard any rumors yet.
