Pura Vida Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Donovan has 186 made 3-pointers. His rookie season keeps getting better! Donovan Mitchell Breaks Damian Lillard'''s Record for 3-Pointers in Rookie Season | Bleacher Report
UKMustangFan Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Sorry Deuce..... 15.9/8.2/8.2/20.15 > 20.5/3.7/3.7/16.87
GrantNKY Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Give me Ben Simmons as well, but I think this back and forth the two are having is pretty funny and Mitchell does have a point about Simmons and his year head start.
LIPTON BASH Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 (edited) Give me Ben Simmons as well, but I think this back and forth the two are having is pretty funny and Mitchell does have a point about Simmons and his year head start. Wall got the same raw deal when Blake Griffin won. I don't like it , but it is how it's done. I have a feeling this record will be broke a lot in coming years. Not taking anything away from Mitchell because this is an awesome accomplishment. It just seems to be the trend. Edited April 11, 2018 by LIPTON BASH
TheDeuce Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Sorry Deuce..... 15.9/8.2/8.2/20.15 > 20.5/3.7/3.7/16.87 He's not a rookie, so...
UKMustangFan Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 He's not a rookie, so... Sure he is. This is his first year playing.
TheDeuce Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Sure he is. This is his first year playing. Is Andre Ingram a rookie? If a player his hurt the first three years after he's drafted and doesn't play, his fourth year is his rookie year?
UKMustangFan Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Is Andre Ingram a rookie? I'd imagine he'd have to be.
TheDeuce Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Your rookie season is the year you get drafted, whether you play or not. IMO.
LIPTON BASH Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Your rookie season is the year you get drafted, whether you play or not. IMO. I wish that were the case. The NBA has handled it differently though.
TheDeuce Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I wish that were the case. The NBA has handled it differently though. I agree.
LIPTON BASH Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I agree. Trust me when Wall didn't win I was having the same argument as you. Funny part is I think Griffin even played with the 2nd year players on All Star weekend.
Pura Vida Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 The rivalry is awesome, I’m sure Donovan & Ben are enjoying it on some level. Loved Donovan’s “rookie” hoodie last night - Don would definitely have my vote simply for the athletically awesomeness of his game.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I give it to Simmons as well. If the GP on the back of your basketball cards is a 0, then you didn't have a rookie season. Mitchell has been a total stud this year though.
