Very nice win for the Indians.

Very nice win for the Indians.

Agree. Nice first varsity win for new Indians coach Rob Wermeling. Great hire by the Indians brass.

Wow. This has to be considered an upset.

Correction Isaiah c went 2for 2 and b Baker went 1 for 2

Your correct upset but they played better defense and hit the ball

MBaker61 you are correct that was my mistake. Isaiah Chitkara was 2-2 not Trattles.

As far as the game, this was a nice early season win for Holy Cross against a good team. The Indians got good pitching and solid defense. Simon Kenton will be just fine IMO as they have good team with several nice players. Best of luck to both teams.

Thank you we will be fine

I would disagree that game 1 of a season is an upset.

So if the penniless Silver Grove Big Trains slid by CovCath tomorrow in a nailbiter and game one for both teams.....not an upset?

If you have to use an extreme example then I assume my point was correct.

What I meant to imply was two teams that are generally in the same class - especially baseball.

First game of the year. Pitchers still getting in shape. Coaches figuring out lineups.

Not an upset.

besides, everyone knows SK plays horrible the 1st half of the season anyway.....LOL.
