I’m watching the DVR replay on WYMT right now and they’re mispronouncing Irvine, saying it like the California city pronunciation, which is Ir-Vine.

It’s pronounced Ir-vin.

I will have to say the Estill Co. band is second to none that train song they do is incredible it sounds much better in person the video doesn't really do it justice I have actually been looking for that on YouTube and can't find it do you think you could find a good head on video showing the led lighted instrument and all really cool!

I put my order in for my t-shirt today. Should have it Monday afternoon and I had to get the one from Honchells due to the fan zone not accepting pre-payments nor reserving t-shirts.

Estill get their mascot name because the railroad has always been big in the county, one of the bigger employers. All the coal country rail cars traveled through there and they had a large rail center in Irvine. I don’t know much about the railroad business but at one time it looked like they had at least 10 or more rail lines in the Ravenna/ Irvine area. I suppose it was a switching area. But sadly the railroad industry in the county has slowly died out along with the eastern Kentucky coal industry. Someone from Irvine at the game Monday told me that the railroad in the county only had 5 employees right now. But their history and legacy will always be remembered through the presence of the Engineer mascot name and that wonderful train sound their band plays.
