No clue but this was the fourth time these teams have played this year.

Fitzgerald with 8 points I think on the night, fouled out with 3 minutes or so remaining in the game.

 

Southwestern was scoreless for most of the third quarter but stormed back at the end of the quarter to take a 1 point lead if I remember correctly.

PC settled to shoot jumpshots all game against SW Zone. What is crazy is that SW didn't score a single point the first 4 mins of second half. They were down 9, and completely turned it around.

I expected to see a few set plays to get Fitz inside against Zone, but really just passed ball around perimeter and launch. SW role players don't shoot a bunch, but #1 made key hustle plays in 2nd half.

Its kind of ironic that Butt and Fitz left SW to go win championships at Pulaski, that sure did back fire in a big way. Just imagine the what kind of team the Warriors could of had with Stevens, Butt, Fitz, Cundiff and Gover last year.

The whole situation kind of came full circle last night. No doubt, maybe a super team but there is only one basketball...

It just goes to show if you can put it together at just the right time, teams can go deep into the post season.
