Maybe I just missed someone else posting about this... but do yall see BGP #4 Murray matched up with #1 Mercer County in the FIRST ROUND?

 

I totally get that it's a Regional draw and it's nobody's "fault." But man... with #3 Campbell and #2 Sacred Heart out... this could be a State Championship caliber matchup...

I hate to see these two powerhouses have to meet in the first round but that’s the chance we get with a random draw.

If Mercer shoots the way the have been shooting the last 2 game, then you have to go with Murray. But I still think that it is Mercer's tournament to lose. I'm going with the Titans in this one. Would love to be at the games but I will be on my way to the Bahamas an Jamaica.

Living on borrowed time?? The defending State Champions starting 5 seniors all with D1 offers (one being Miss Bball) - AND bringing 2 D1 talents off the bench have survived their 4th straight 12th Region title based solely off some sort of luck? Give me a break buddy.

Is "borrowed time" an analysis or a desire? Would certainly seem to be the latter vs the former. No biggie if it is either actually -- your opinion. No doubt Mercer hasn't played their best the last 3 games ... but still won. There have been other stretches throughout the season where Mercer hasn't been their best ... but still won. Winning 32 of 35 games with THAT schedule is "borrowed time"?

Talked to a former girls coach who questioned if Mercer County was tired. Said they didn't look to have a ton of energy in the 12th Region tournament and wondered if the brutal schedule they've played has worn them down. We'll see right off the bat against Murray.

This really makes me laugh. Its is nothing other than a pick of a game with no malice towards either team. I picked Murray because they are the underdog.

 

Because we all know that teams with 3, 4 or even 6 losses are invincible and should automatically advance to the State Final game. Best of luck to both teams!

And that could be the case. On the boys' side in the 1st Region, Mayfield look tired last night and fell to McCracken.

There is a ton of pressure when it is lose and go home especially for a team expected to win the region. Mercer looked a little tight in the region. I look for them to relax and have another great state tournament. Mercer will be fine. Seygan is clutch and won't let them lose.
