Several Kentuckians at or going to be at Service Academies: Fox/Wilson at Army Kelch at Navy Coomer at Air Force JR Mathis from Kentucky Country Day in Louisville is a true freshman at Navy which is not the norm. The Service Academies are known for having the true freshmen go to the Prep Academies. You can only be there 4 years, unlike a college that can red shirt a player and have 5 years. Unless they plan to use you as a freshmen, it is better for both player and the academy to have that initial year at one of their Preps.
