January 4, 20188 yr You take any road win and move on, but my goodness is this team sloppy. So many times, specifically the first half, that Diallo and SGA were just completely out of control.
January 4, 20188 yr You take any road win and move on, but my goodness is this team sloppy. So many times, specifically the first half, that Diallo and SGA were just completely out of control. I think both of them were forcing the action way to much in the first half. SGA is trying to live up to the hype he's created from himself that past week and Diallo doesn't like hearing that SGA is our best player. When SGA settled down and picked his spots better in the 2nd half, world of difference. I said it in the updates thread, but Diallo has a little Briscoe in him but obviously more talented. He's good for stepping on the sideline and getting at least one charge a game.
January 4, 20188 yr The more I thought about it on my drive into work today, the more I realize that this was a pretty solid win. Sure there were definitely some frustrations throughout the game, especially the first half. But you could tell that they are coachable. You could tell they listened and made adjustments accordingly. And at the end of the day, the youngest team in America won their first true road test. Something that Cal's teams have struggled with. Every conference road win is a solid win.
January 4, 20188 yr Every conference road win is a solid win. No kidding. But this game showed me a lot more about this team than just "they squeaked one out".
January 4, 20188 yr No kidding. But this game showed me a lot more about this team than just "they squeaked one out". This team is going to be fine. I can't wait to see them when they finally peak.
January 4, 20188 yr Big win on the road. How bout those 2 FT's by Alexander near the end? That's bigtime.
