Stats didnt really show how the games went ! The majority of the ints were definitely not on him. There was barely any run after catches! There were a lot of variables that played into how the season went

What film are you looking at "poorly under thrown balls". AJ is definitely an awesome QB but the Woodford county guy on that team is there a drop off maybe slightly but not much! Not to mention hes a first year starter

Some throws as you said were dropped, those delivered on time look like runs after were fine. A couple he made the receiver adjust an open route bc throws were on the wrong shoulder. Far from best in 5A this year but as you said first year starter. Bright up side!

I’m going with Cameron Jones on Knott County. He may take a solid team up another level.

It's a QB's job to get it there and the WR's job to catch it. In that video of the Woodford County QB there was some game changing drops.

 

I'm not so sure this thread is going to go anywhere though.

Even if your WR's drop a number of passes, a QB's completion percentage should be much higher than 44%. The TD/INT ratio of 5/11 is not convincing either. I watched the video and almost every play, the QB locked on to one WR and didn't check down. The throwing motion caught my attention. With better mechanics, he may be able to hit WR's in stride a little better. Best wishes to Mr. Turner, a lot of improvements can be made from one year to the next.

The QB from Bryan Station fits this description

Jalen Burbage- 829 rushing yards, 1342 passing yards

 

Would have loved to seen what he could have done on a better team.

 

I wouldn't necessarily call Daviess County a bad team at 7-6... but their QB deserves some love for his season for a perennial lower tier program:

Joseph Cambron- 4078 passing yards, 49 TD passes

It sure was. Those are some nice stats. 56% completion rate also. He must be a straight pocket passer because his rushing total was -153. KHSAA has him listed as a JR for the 2017 season. I'm going to be following Mr. Cambron in 2018. Thanks for digging this up @ATLCat!

Correct film says it all. These are "highlights" and he appears to be a very average HS QB. Long throwing motion forces his WR's to often wait on the ball rather than being on time. Throws a decent deep ball. Struggles on roll out passes and doesn't square his shoulders to his target, often making the ball low and away. Has potential, but lucky to be at Woodford where he can be a starter. Couple more off-seasons in the weight room and working with a QB coach will do wonders for the kid.

Kid from Daviess is really good...he would take a contender to a real title chance.

You dont think he can start anywhere else?
