Boyle was able to hold Becherer to 19 rushing yards. As a team E-Town only had 56 rushing yards and 199 total yards for the game. This was just as impressive as holding WanDale Robinson to 9 and 20 yards for 2 games earlier this season. Jay Becherer is one heck of a football player. Elizabethtown is one heck of a football team.

 

They always say defense wins championships. So, I hope this is true for next week.

Thanks to Etowncat for the dinning recommendations. Went to the Wicked Eyed Lady before the game, great atmosphere and good food. Might make the trip back just to eat there again. This was the first game I can remember the PA announcer telling the visiting team fans that they had to set on the side of the field opposite the press box of security would escort them to the other side. When I checked my ticket was general admission, no seat designation. I don't know how many Boyle fans were there but there were many more standing than sitting.

That seemed a little too "Rosa Parksy" to me. I guess there is a reason but I sure would like to know what it is.

The following is from the Khsaa handbook pertaining to tournament for football (I assume playoffs are tournaments) From the wording if our school didn't agree to the press box side being reserved then Etown didn't handle this correctly. With that said great game between two great teams but the way this was handled took away from the game a bit for me personally.

 

The principals of the competing schools, or their representatives

shall agree on all matters pertaining to the game, including

but not limited to, date and starting time, admission charges,

expenses, and allocation of reserved seat tickets for the game.

Disagreement on any of these items shall be referred to the

Commissioner, whose decision in the matter shall be final.
