Oakland finished 20th in the majors with runners in scoring position scoring 570 runs. With runners in scoring position with 2 outs they finished tied for 13th with the Angels scoring 240 runs. And with no one on they finished 18th with 99 runs.

Wasn't Casey, Kearns or Lopez. It is all about pitching. Chicks might dig HR's but the WS champs love pitching.

But it goes to show it's almost a have too, to play small ball and just simply advance the baserunners from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. Ya know something I tell people that are just starting out playing baseball. "Making contact with the ball gives you a 50% chance of getting on base because anything could happen, but a strikeout on the other hand does nothing to advance the runner". It would be in the Reds best interest to trade Dunn for more contact players and some pitching. Don't always need a homerun to win a game!
