November 17, 20178 yr Last home game tonight 7PM CT on CBS Sports. 100 Miles of Hate has little hype this year it seems since both MTSU and WKU have both severely underperformed this season. Both were considered to be fighting for East Division champ at preseason, but both are now only sitting at 5-5. With a few BG high schools playing each other tonight in the playoffs, attendance will likely be sparse. Hopefully WKU can simply make it to a bowl game. Next week @FIU doesn't look very assured, as FIU has turned it around with with Butch Davis at the helm.
November 17, 20178 yr This has got to be one of the more disappointing sports seasons at WKU in a while. Between all the off-season drama for basketball and the massive failure to meet expectations for football, it has been rough waters.
November 17, 20178 yr What is the deal playing on Friday night? Who set that up? Bone-head move... Still pulling for WKU though...

November 17, 20178 yr I'm guessing TV made this decision. So GC, How much $ are we speaking about? I understand the "exposure" side, but what is your guess each team takes home for this?
November 17, 20178 yr So GC, How much $ are we speaking about? I understand the "exposure" side, but what is your guess each team takes home for this? Wow. Not a clue. I'd imagine all money is funneled through the league so the amount of appearances on television (and subsequent monies) are distributed evenly across the conference. Based on the link below (from 2016), the new C-USA deal is less than the previous deal in which each team received roughly $1 million per year. However, the exposure point is the most important because eyeballs get people interested in the school/program. That's difficult to value, I guess. I don't like it when pro plays on Saturday either really. In Bowling Green, the WKU games are a good draw even if they aren't playing well. But the Bowling Green vs South Warren game should be just as big or bigger draw tonight since they are so deep into the playoffs.

November 18, 20178 yr Author One hell of a game tonight if you missed it. WKU wins 41-38 in 3OT. Mike White had the longest TD pass in all of CFB this year, 93 yards. Score was 10-3 WKU headed into the 4Q. A 35 point 4th +31 point OT made this one of the most entertaining cfb games I've watched probably all year. Overall, a below expectations season for WKU, but at least we will be bowling for the 7th straight year.
