October 31, 20178 yr Notre Dame has the best resume of everyone except the team that beat them. This we definitely can agree on. Also I think they might be better than most people think. The NC State win was
October 31, 20178 yr Author So are you saying that Bama is getting the benefit of doubt if they are in the top 4 tonight. With your stats; Bama should be hanging around 10-15. I'm saying OSU gets the benefit of the doubt because they continue to be ranked ahead of teams that beat them in head to head games even if they both have the same record. And Bama keeps getting the benefit of the doubt for being undefeated despite only playing 1 P5 team with a .500 record and only winning by 8. I get Bama can't control their schedule, but neither can Wisconsin and none of us expect Wisconsin in the top 4 much less potentially number 1. So yeah I agree OSU gets the benefit of the doubt. But to act as though putting Bama at #1 isn't relying on past seasons is simply ridiculous. OSU would also be undefeated still having played Bama's schedule so far. I guarantee nobody would be calling for them to be ranked ahead of UGA.
October 31, 20178 yr Bama keeps getting the benefit of the doubt? Since the playoffs started, only one team has been included that didn't win their conference and it wasn't Bama....:idunno:

October 31, 20178 yr 1. Bama 1a. Georgia 3. Notre Dame 4. Toss up, but I'm guessing the committee goes Clemson.
October 31, 20178 yr I don't doubt that OSU receives the benefit of the doubt... It's just not to the level Bama gets. And yet they're the only team to get in the playoff without winning their conference title.
October 31, 20178 yr And yet they're the only team to get in the playoff without winning their conference title. That’s gonna come back to bite your SEC bro’s this year. Either Alabama or Georgia will eliminate each other.
October 31, 20178 yr Author And yet they're the only team to get in the playoff without winning their conference title. Bama hasn't had the opportunity for the situation to arise.

October 31, 20178 yr That’s gonna come back to bite your SEC bro’s this year. Either Alabama or Georgia will eliminate each other in Atlanta. I fully expect only one of them to make it.
October 31, 20178 yr Author I don't think that's true. Everyone would be calling for OSU to be number 1. No chance. With Georgia also being undefeated and having the best win of the season so far? No way OSU would get the nod at #1. I believe Bama won't get the #1 spot tonight either, but no one would have OSU in that spot.
October 31, 20178 yr I fully expect only one of them to make it. You are correct unless several top teams lose 2 games.
October 31, 20178 yr That’s gonna come back to bite your SEC bro’s this year. Either Alabama or Georgia will eliminate each other in Atlanta. I'm having fun with GrantKNY. I don't think it will come to that by the end of the year. Both Bama and UGA have to go to Auburn, one of us won't make it out alive; I just hope Bama does.
October 31, 20178 yr You are correct unless several top teams lose 2 games. Only way I see it happen is if multiple Power 5 conference champs have multiple losses.
