October 31, 20178 yr Bama gets more benefit of the doubt than anyone. Not that it isn't deserved, but it's foolish to believe otherwise. Especially if they are 1 and UGA is 2 tonight. They are judged on a different scale than everyone else. But head to head matters when all things are equal. I don't think the committee think OSU and OU have been equal despite the head to head loss. All things are equal when it comes to OSU and OK. Your argument is that they don't look dominant so OSU should be ranked ahead of them. Their only loss is to a team that just beat the no. 4 team in the nation. The tie-breaker is that OK beat OSU on the road, big time game, big time atmosphere. OSU shouldn't be ranked ahead of OK, if this is the case, then why play the game in the first place. I hope and pray that UGA is ranked number 1 ahead of Bama. Bama has been the SEC champ every year of the CFP, they didn't need any help getting in. I assume you are talking about 2011 BCS year that no one can seem to forget.

I fully expect Ohio State to be in the top 4, because whether you'll admit it or not, the committee gives them the benefit of the doubt just as much as Bama, but I don't think they necessarily deserve it right now.

All things are not equal with OSU and OU. OU isn't playing at a high level right now. They've played at a high level for 1 game. Now they looked damn good in that one game. I was there and it was an absolute beatdown. OSU looked horrible and OU looked great. Both teams have done a complete 180 since.

I won't have a problem with OU being ahead of OSU because as an OSU fan I know I don't have any ground to stand on. But OSU will be ahead of OU because OU hasn't played well since OSU and could easily have 3 losses right now.

They have a strong case for #3.

October 31, 20178 yr I think they have the #3 spot on lock down. The only way they don't is if they rank a Wisconsin or Miami high just for being undefeated. Which I doubt they do. There is no doubt Notre Dame has the best resume of one loss teams looking at these numbers.

Our schedule is what it is, we don't control the conference schedule. We play who is in the conf. Our OOC schedule included a power 5 favorite FSU. I don't have one issue with Bama being ranked anywhere this week. Bama's mission is always the same, win the SEC go to the playoffs. Our record in the playoffs speak for itself. We've competed in all of the playoff games that we have been in; never been blown out.......hmmmmm

You can't control the schedule and Bama's schedule is certainly backloaded. I wasn't trying to get you worked up, just trying to show you why I think they get more benefit of the doubt than everyone else. Deserved or undeserved, doesn't matter. These numbers just prove my point. Wisconsin and Miami are both going to be outside of the top 6 tonight, they also have zero losses and both have more wins against .500 P5 teams. That's why I believe UGA will be #1 tonight.

I'm saying OSU gets the benefit of the doubt because they continue to be ranked ahead of teams that beat them in head to head games even if they both have the same record.
