"Game Changer " --- Sexual Harassment Dominoes Continue to Fall

Featured Replies

Women are starting to find their voices. I expect to see more and more powerful men being exposed as more and more women gain the courage to speak out. Sexual harassment , I believe, is rampant in every workplace across this country. I'm sure a lot of "hush" money has been paid out over the years to protect the butts of rich and powerful men. It took 32 million to keep just one of Bill O's victims silenced.

The latest to be accused of sexually harassing women over a period of years is Mark Halperin of MSNBC. At least five women have come forward detailing allegations of harassment back when Halperin was in a powerful position at ABC News years ago.

I'd say the list is very, very long of powerful men who use their position to prey upon women. I wouldn't be surprised by anyone on that list. It seems like we are at a pivotal moment in this country, a moment where it seems women are gaining the courage from one another to speak out against sexual harassment and abuse. It's about time...

I agree @Science Friction and in the past it all depended on how powerful and/or how well liked and/or how much money the perpetrator was generating.

Would these men want their daughters to be treated this way by other men? Do they even think about that?

^ As I've often said. When dealing with women, ask yourself if that's how you would want your daughter to be treated.

Put a pict of slick willie on here too,

I know he's a total space-cadet of a person, but Corey Feldman is another interesting voice in all of this. He wrote in his memoir back in 2013 about being sexually abused as a child actor. He alleged that his buddy Corey Haim was even raped by an unnamed Hollywood "big name" when Haim was 11 years old. That was a year or two before anything about Cosby or O'Reilly came out, and certainly before anything about Murdoch or Weinstein. He's apparently trying to get funding to make a documentary about the experience, and intends to name the individuals whom he anonymously mentioned in his memoir.

Yeah, I've heard him mention this before in interviews. Understandably, he seems to have been badly affected emotionally by the experience. I hope he's able to make the movie.

Why does he have to wait and tell us in a movie? Lame.

I like the thread but it is venturing into politics.
