Now you can still take Bama's running backs, but to act like JT doesn't have the same caliber of dudes to hand the ball off to is hilarious. But while were on the topic of running backs give me Nick Chubb and Sony Michel over Bama's RB's too.

I can name like 25 guys off the top of my head that I am confident in saying that they beat teams with their arms at the QB position.

With the way the games are played in college today there are many more teams with QB's who throw the ball all over the place and put up a ton of points. I'm not talking about the NFL.

This is a homer quote....most experts would agree that Bama has the best set of rbs in the country. The combination of Damien Harris, Bo Scarborough, Josh Jacobs and Najee Harris is better than Dobbins and Weber. I love UGA's rbs, that's a better argument than OSU. I wave the white flag on this thread with you. it's obvious you don't think much of Bama....we'll have to just wait and see

I would never deny the depth Bama has in the backfield, Saban stockpiles great RB's. Obviously I don't like Alabama, and I'm not really trying to hide that. But I watch college football and I watch a lot of it especially Alabama and Ohio State, you can take my opinions with a grain of salt, I really don't care. But with regards to your last sentence, we will have to wait and see because Bama won't play anyone who can challenge them offensively until probably the Iron Bowl. Bama could probably average 20 points a game and win out until the Iron Bowl. We won't know anything about Bama defensively until that game and we won't find out anything offensively until probably LSU.

Thats exactly the purpose of the forum anyways. What good would it be if we all agreed on everything? Haha The college football forum would be boring if it wasn't for all of the OSU haters on here. I really want to say good luck to the Tide as well, but we both know that wouldn't be genuine. Haha I'd be bored out of my mind if it wasn't for BGP at work.

Fromms passer rating is also higher. 6th vs 28th. I don't care about my QB running. The more a QB runs the ball the less confident it seems the coaches are in his ability to throw the ball. If you're Lamar Jackson or Deshaun Watson last year, it's a different story, because they are dynamic throwing the ball too. Look I'm not a Bama fan, everyone knows that. Doesn't mean I'm anymore of a hater than all of the Buckeye bashers on here. It is what it is. Hurts is what he is. He's a really good dude, coaches son, and is a leader by example. But you're foolish if you think Hurts is going to win you a championship with his arm.

I'll admit that OSU can't win a championship with the JT we have seen the past 2 years. From a pure passing perspective JT has progressed a lot under the tutelage of Ryan Day in the past 5 weeks. He's doing things he need to do to be successful. He's throwing the deep ball proficiently, he's going through progressions, he's looking off safeties, he's anticipating throws. He's doing all the things he needs to be successful and they can win a championship if JT continues to play like that. The things he is doing are things that carry over no matter the competition. But it's a matter of how he reacts to the pressure of the big games. We'll find out Saturday. But I'll certainly concede that OSU absolutely cannot win a NC with the JT we are used to seeing. The JTB the past 5 weeks and I like OSU's chances.

The next year looks good, but then can't beat a third string qb for Michigan st. Last year shows signs of figuring it out then shut out in the playoffs.

 

One thing in common is each of these three seasons when he does his good play most of the regular season you all start talking him up so high. Now here you all talking about how he seems like a new qb these last few weeks against average at best competition. And yes who you play does matter. Better teams mean better pass rush, better players, better coverage, smaller windows to throw in.

The things he's doing this year are drastically different. Even in 2014 he didn't go through progressions, he was just extremely accurate when throwing to his first read. He's doing these things now, and it's on tape you can go watch for yourselves. The reason JT was so hyped after 2014 was because he was a freshmen and we thought he would progress even more as a sophomore. But everyone I talked to wanted Cardale to start going into 2015 so JT wasn't as hyped as you are making it seem. We'll see, but don't forget who my avatar is. I'm not certain JT is going to perform well Saturday, I'm cautiously optimistic and hopeful that he is able to continue his play from the past 5 games.

True I will admit you obviuisly read more about every little detail about osu than I do. I'm going by the little bit I read, my friends and definitely on here people wanted Jones. I know that because I got in big disagreements with people on in because many osu fans on here including JA thought JT was clearly the better choice for them.

Big games are how QBs are judged. His freshmen year outside of VT (which was only his 2nd start) he balled out in big games. Since he has been pretty sub par outside of Michigan and ND in 2015 and Oklahoma last year. I don't think it's fair to say Saturday is the biggest game of JTs career, but I really think it will be judged that way.
