October 25, 20178 yr Author It's been a few years since I've seen any of the Saw's, but isn't Jigsaw dead as well as his assistant? Who could possibly be the bad guy in this one? Correct. Jigsaw is dead. So is Amanda and Hoffman, his two apprentices. Dr. Gordon is still alive but I don't think he will really be part of this story line. My prediction is someone, or a group of people, inspired by his work and start "playing more games". Tobin Bell, the actor that played John Kramer aka Jigsaw is in this but I am thinking it will be more of a flashback thing. Maybe filling in more of the timeline of him becoming Jigsaw. I don't believe the actors that played Hoffman, Amanda, or even Dr. Gordon are in this, unless its a secret.

October 25, 20178 yr Author Ah gotcha. That would make sense. Thanks Let me correct myself. We don't know that Hoffman is dead. I just finished #7 and it ends with Gordan locking Hoffman in the very original bathroom and saying game over. So we aren't sure Hoffman dies in there but I think the story would be best if he did. Also when Gordon captured Hoffman, there were two others in pig masks with him. So those might be the potential disciples I guessed about earlier. Can't wait.
October 25, 20178 yr Author Oh yeah. And #7 is an awful movie and puts 1-6 to shame. Sure hope Jigsaw gets back to the Saw roots and is amazing lol.
October 25, 20178 yr I absolutely loved the first three, the fourth was pretty good IMO than didn’t care as much for the others. I am interested in what it looks like they are doing with Jigsaw though. I plan on watching it with a friend over the weekend.
October 25, 20178 yr I just watched the first one last night, and noticed that the rest are on Netflix. Gonna be a busy week playing catch up.
October 25, 20178 yr Author Was just talking to one of my co-workers who recently watched them all to catch up before this weekend and came up with a random theory about Jigsaw. What if one of the victim's kids were involved somehow? Like maybe Eric Matthews' kid from #2, Daniel. Or maybe Jeff and Lynn's Denlon's daughter from #3.
October 27, 20178 yr Got my tickets for tonight. Can't wait! Do you really have to buy presales for the movie theater? I can see it for Star Wars or another biggie. I’ve not been in many years. How much is a ticket?
October 27, 20178 yr Author Do you really have to buy presales for the movie theater? I can see it for Star Wars or another biggie. I’ve not been in many years. How much is a ticket? This was the first time I've ever bought tickets ahead of time. Ever. Been a long time since I've been to a movie on a Friday night. I am not sure if I've ever been to a movie on the Opening Friday Night, unless it was another Saw movie. I doubt the theater will even be half full. I think my excitement got the best of me. With their convenience fee, it was $25 for two.

October 30, 20178 yr Author WELL???? Where is the review? I didn't want to come and post right away because initially I feel like I was left rather disappointed. After giving it a few days, I'm still disappointed. As a stand alone movie, it was pretty good. As the 8th installment of the franchise, it was not. I personally didn't feel like they really tried to tie much of anything into the original 7. It left me with a few questions that might be answered with a Jigsaw II. Idk. I felt like they cheated. There was a pretty decent twist. I nailed part of it. Maybe that's part of the reason I didn't love it because they didn't get me. Traps were pretty good though. I need to watch it again but overall, I'd go with maybe a grade of a D+.
