I guess. My take on the game.

X had six penalties in the first quarter but still managed to be up 21-7. At the half it was 35-7. Open up the 2nd half with a Vic kickoff return and then they called the dogs off. X still seems to be making silly penalties and has random misfires. I still believe they are going to have to play much better in order to get past Male.

I don't get too excited about X (or Trinity) miscues in the regular season because they have opportunity to correct them before the real season begins. X still has a very potent offense.

49 points and could have been many more. PRP QB back and tried to hold off STX earlier with Shotgun but failed. St X came out focused and it was never in doubt. PRP did very little, especially on the ground. St X needs to work on pass coverage, finishing pressure on QB and kickoff coverage. St X offense looks good. Victor came ready to play and did Duece. The O line was pushing PRP around. D line stopped the run well and put pressure on QB. Good game St X!

We had nice completions last night. I loved that play when we hit Eckman in the flat out of the back field. We must have a few plays like that to make our running game effective. Do we have a screen play for Vic or Duece the the system? If not, we need one.

Solid Game for the Tigers.

No surprise anymore.

I thought the St.X offense looked very sharp and seems to be improving every week. Vic was amazing which is the norm for him.The defense looked great at times but still has a little work to do. Overall a nice win for the Tigers. A big plus was converting all 7 extra points. 2 weeks until the big show.

It was great that we finally had a game where we made all of our extra points, but we're still not out of the woods on our special teams play. On our only field goal attempt, we had a good snap and placement, but the blocking at the corners and up front was pathetic, as the defenders poured in and almost killed Passifume and Boscher while blocking the attempt. I can never remember a St. X. season where our play in this facet of the game has been so inconsistent. Somewhere down the line, these miscues are going to bite us BIG TIME! :scared:

^ I assume Glaser will get that fixed, though I am suprised that this is still an issue.

Hopefully, somewhere down the line will be around the 10th of November!

That is a tough one to understand. I have never seen a season with so many mistakes in the kicking game this far into a schedule.????????????????????Extra points get fixed and field goal teams break down, go figure. At least the return and coverage teams have improved.

Probably not then either as specialties only cost you against a team that does them well and Male/ PRP are not stellar in them either. :D

You could start with the 20th of October.

Excellent point.
