Caught me by surprise too. Via twitter, Waggener was up 19-6 after three, 27-12 midway thru fourth, then held off a Thomas Nelson two-point conversion attempt with under a minute left to secure the win.

 

Thomas Nelson is much improved. I have no clue how to evaluate Waggener.

Thomas Nelson played great, getting better every week. We started 4 freshman, 6 sophomores, out of 16 starters. We lost Jairus Brents and Manny Harper this week. We are an extremely young team with not much depth. This just seems to be one of those years for injuries, unfortunately, but next man up!

I was talking with Thomas Nelson's coach yesterday and he said Harper's injury looked nasty, and that he hoped it wasn't as bad as it seemed. Possible ACL tear?
