Mayfield fans have to make fun of Murray at every opportunity. It's in the Charter.

It's true, Murray played their 1 string against our 2nd and 3rd string till about 2 minutes to go in the game. This game could've been 90 to nothing

It was obvious from the start that Murray is down this year. their qb is just a sophomore, but has good size and a fairly accurate arm. Too many drops from the Murray receivers. Their running back ran hard all night long...got over a 100 yards for the game.

One of the most impressive things that I saw was watching our “slow” quarterback, Jaden Stinson, run down the defensive back from murray who had scooped up a fumble and had no one in front of him...only the endzone about 80 yards away, and Stinson ran him down and tackled him!

You can see QB Stinson getting better and better each week and playing with more confidence.. The kid has a cannon of an arm and has improved his touch on his throws.. IMO, to make a long playoff run, I think they need to get WR-Jack Murrell more throws his way.. Harrison, Matthews, Guthrie and a couple of others are solid receivers with good speed, but, Murrell has the break away speed plus the ability to break tackles in the open field, plus he's got strong hands to come down with balls in traffic. Seems like they could utilize his abilities a little more than what they do.. The defense is going to have to improve, as well.. I think the D-line is stronger than last year, but, outside of Hurt, the LBs and DBs are going to have to wrap up better and not let receivers get behind them.. They have the speed in the secondary to keep receivers in front of them, but, there's been a few too many breakdowns in coverage for my liking.. The good thing is, all this is very fixable & if they do shore those things up, they're going to be tough to handle for anyone..

Snake, to me I like this (when our 2nd and 3rd string guys have to play the other teams 1s). It lets them make some mistakes on the big field that the coaches have film on and will help them as they pay their dues as Frosh and Sophs to get on the big field for real as Jrs and Srs. As they will already be battle tested thanks to playing in mop up time.

I see your point but some teams keep their starters in too long against the backup players.
