As you well know TP, this is why you guys play the tough schedule every year. Push yourself and get the kinks worked out before playoff time. My thinking is this game just made Mayfield an even tougher opponent in the 2A playoffs.

 

VOR, funny you should say that.. Someone at the game tonight said during the late stage of the game that if Mayfield loses this game tonight, they'd win state and if the won tonight, they wouldn't. I don't necessarily agree, but, I think he was basically saying they'd learn more from a loss and be a tougher out come playoff time, same as what you're saying.. Games like this can only help down the road.

Congrats to the hounds, very solid team and deserved the win, lot of good analysis on the thread, and I'll add another, I thought the hounds played with more toughness, hunger, I want it more than you do.

I was at the game. The officiating was pretty bad but went both ways. Congrats to Corbin. They played a good ball game. All 3 of their TDS was scored against our corner. 1 player. We better fix that and fix it in a hurry!!!!!!!!!!!

 

IMO... we could not run the ball against that d-line. Not being able to run in the red zone hurt us. Put to much pressure on the sophomore qb and it showed. He made some critical mistakes but it’s a learning experience. I thought the defense played pretty well except for our corner. I’ll give him one on the trick play but the other 2 just can’t happen

I'd loved that these two scheduled each other and would love to see more of this type scheduling from yearly powers. Maybe Belfry and Mayfield could meet in Bowling Green if the Corbin series doesn't continue.

It has happened in 3 other games. I was jus stating it needs to fixed and in a hurry. I stand by what I said. I didn't say it cost us the game or he was the reason.

Isn’t that purpose of a msg board? If you guys just want to sit around patting each other on the back and trashing kids amongst each other, couldn’t you just do that at the Majestic?

You do know what single means right? 1 person. As in they were blaming the corner specifically. Offense is at least 11 players. Annnnnnnd I said just as much on the O stalling out. As in, the O is just as responsible as the D giving up TD’s. :thumb:
