Trinity by 35 points. Did anyone know that an old basketball great is playing for Eastern? Name is Isiah Thomas. Look for Mr. Thomas to stir up some dust in the middle. GO ROCKS.

He also use to play baseball for Eastern, MRA and AAU. I heard from a reliable source he has decided to concentrate on football. This kid is lightening fast.

I don't know what position he's playing; but, if he can move with the football the way he use to cover center field he can be hard to stop.

I watched the PRP film, they are good, but the best?

I don't know either. Excuse me for being off topic, but when does X play them?(Male)

^ October 20th...I will be at that game.

...at Manual Stadium.

Eastern will give the Rocks more of a game than some think. Their athletes are very good.

^ Well, that is a loaded statement...I think that we will win by 5 td's...that's enough for me.

At first blush I thought that perhaps this was a fan who was sandbagging, but then I looked up Eastern's record. It appears that they have played several schools closer than I would have thought. Two concerns, though, if I were Eastern: First, a big loss to Butler. I have seen Butler this season and it is never a good sign to lose 28 - 7 to a 4A school that has lost earlier in the season to a 2A squad 67-34. Second, judging from Shamrock posts over the last two or three years on this bulletin board and from conversations with some of my Trinity friends, there is bad blood between the schools. (spell S-e-x-t-o-n). Putting all these factors in the computer, looking at all the polls and ratings for the last 37 years, and reviewing the experts opinions on this thread :D I say Trinity 56-Eastern 20. Eastern's tallies will come late, after Trinity calls off the dogs. By the way, good luck against a school led by one of the chief architects of the move to expel private schools from a unified playoff system.

^ this game won't help...

I hope I'm wrong. I'm not worried about Trinity scoring enough points to win the game (they will), but rather it's Eastern's offense that I'm impressed with. Last week their QB ran 27 times for 250 yards and 4 TD. Plus he was 9 for 17 and 140 yards with 1 TD through the air. Don't forget about the other RB - 14 times for 62 yards and 1 TD. That's nothing to sneeze at.

I think we will win, but it will not be a blow out.

Don't know much about Eastern but I don't think they can stop Trinity from scoring a lot of points, and Trinity has been pretty good of late in avoiding turnovers. Maybe the Eagles can put some points on the board.

I 'll go with Trinity, 51-19. (T's point total is somewhat high because Eastern will kind of hang with T, thus allowing the T first team offense to play longer. If Tim Phillips does not play, revise the T total downward by about 7-10 points.)

Hey Run First; are you trying to say that there is some competition in the district??? If so, Im not buyin it..... I here you, Eastern may have put up some numbers against somebody, but that is a waist of effort against the Trinity D. Rocks roll big time. Several statements to make..... one of which is a thorough wippin on Eastern....... If it will make you feel better, Ill take Eastern and 50..... Ill still loose.......:D

EASTERN WILL WIN BY 2 SCORES. T HAS MORE TALENT BUT THEW FOCUS WONT BE THERE.:D

don't be surprised if Eastern scores about 21 points in this one, they won't win, and could just as easily be shut out, but Fergison (sp) #7 is a great player for the Eagles and he will make some noise.

He evidently didn't make too much noise against Manual. Manual's defense is pretty good, but still, Trinity's is a bit better. I am leaning more towards the shutout myself the more I think about it.
