...that being said, for all of those kids, I hope it isn't as bad as I think it's gonna be.

It was not that long ago Dixie Heights was in the thick of the 6A playoffs. Now they're in 5A and I thought they would be contenders annually.

I'd call that a big drop! Then last years team improved to 6-6. We've learned that Campbell County and Scott are no slouches this season. There's a lot of football left to be played...

This is gonna get ugly early. I'm thinking the Pioneers might be home while there is still daylight. Running clock by halfway through the 2nd quarter. Score 48-13 with Dixie's scores coming against the 3rd team. Coach Marksberry doesn't leave his ones on the field long and takes them out 1 series after the running clock like he does normally.

Gotta ask Dave Brossart and his crew....why have you not engaged the youth football programs in your area - one that fed you directly and folded and the other that now mainly feeds you?

 

The model has been established, copied many times over and continues to bear success. Engage the youth that will someday be wearing your colors and success wil come.

 

But not Dixie...and a lot of folks are asking why while seeing results from the last season and a half.

 

Time to stop the mindset of "we'll coach who shows up" and try something new. Right Highlands? CovCath? SK? Taylor Mill?

Why do you perceive disengagement from the feeder programs? I know dixie runs a camp for their feeder schools. Don't they also acknowledge their feeder programs during half time? Do they offer free admission for their feeder youth?
