Pebble Beach

Been lucky enough to play Pebble. The coastal holes will simply take your breath away, the rest is nice but doesn't overwhelm you.

For me it would be Augusta or a place like Bethpage or Shinnecock. I want to play the hardest courses even if it means shooting near 100.

Bethpage is very nice, and not all that difficult to get a tee time or that expensive to play. I've played there twice and it's worth camping in your car overnight. It's also brutal. I played it before they hosted open so I'm guessing it's even tougher now. I was a solid mid single digit at the time and didn't break 90 the first time and barely broke 90 the second time.

 

Definitely worth playing but since it's not tough to get on, not worth wasting your freebie on.

In a perfect world it would be at Latrobe Country Club in Latrobe, Pennsylvania with Arnie driving the cart and giving me pointers every step of the way.

 

Afterwards I hang out with the King at the club, and share stories over dinner and a few spiked Arnold Palmers. He likes my company so much that we become pals, and he gives me an open invitation to visit anytime that I want.

That is a great one but since I hate tucking my shirt in, think Arnie would look down on me, rest his soul.

 

One other I forgot was Kiawah Island. Seems like a course that would tear you up if wind blowing
